Kosta Legal acted as Uzbek law counsel to Standard Chartered in connection with an RMB 770 million syndicated loan for Asakabank, with Standard Chartered acting as Sole Mandated Lead Arranger.
The transaction supports growing trade and investment flows between Uzbekistan and China and the increasing use of RMB in cross-border financing. It also marks Asakabank’s first RMB-denominated syndicated loan and Standard Chartered’s third transaction with the Uzbekistan-based bank.
